Shoulders and Arms/CARB CRAZED

So I had a great workout today. Shoulders and Arms is so awesome :D I love the way that pump feels! I finally GET IT.

I'm still marveling at this super-heavy carb load. Is this how I should be eating... really? It's crazy eating 1 cup dry oatmeal (that's more than 2 cups cooked, by the way), 3 slices of bread, 1 cup of whole wheat couscous, plus all the carbs from fruit and veggie sources. WHEW.

Anyway, this is a busy busy week. I'm hoping things will calm down a little after this one!

-finally sign up for grad school classes this summer

  1. LOL 300 grams carbs. Wow. I guess it's all about your total calorie intake too- I eat a little over half your calories a day.

    That said, you know, it's all about carb LOAD and not base carb numbers- Kashi Go Lean might have 30 grams of carbs, but it's got 10 grams of fiber, so you only count 20 grams of carbs. I'm not positive, but I think that's the South Beach method. Atkins can kiss my ass, and ketogenic freaks can also kiss my ass.

    Sometimes the numbers on my chart go 30 or 40 grams hgher than my actual carb load. I wish there was a site that showed that, PLUS had all the awesome features of myfitnesspal; the only thing I hate about this site is that it doesn't show percentages.

  2. Yeah, that is disappointing, but the amount of time saved by having saved foods and a VERY fast system for looking up/entering serving sizes is worth the sacrifice IMO.
